I'd prefer not to taint my precious iphone. It's far better the way it is - the most advanced phone ever created!

From what I have seen, with limited experience, AT&T is coding the SIM cards as to which account plan it is set up for, and if the hardware does not match it will not work.

I tried a iPhone SIM card in an AT&T USB dongle for a laptop, no go. I spoke to a AT&T store I know and she confirmed it.

I recommend getting the ZAGG invisiShield installed by a professional. I have that on front and back and then a bumper case... then it gets stored in a Case Logic zippered neoprene case (bought at Sears in electronics section). The Case Logic case has an outside zippered compartment for my Jawbone ICON bluetooth earpiece so I don't ever lose it.
