Oh yes this would be hugely hilarious. Even more so if they made a "pow" or
"zing" sound when they brought it out.

Got New Computer, How can I move apps to it?

Posted by: "larrycarta" larrycarta@yahoo.com   larrycarta

Hello everyone, my old PC has died.

I just got a new one. I was able to DL iTunes to it and authorize it and all that. But none of my apps are on iTunes. They are all in my iPhone.

I was going to sync apps but it appears that it will erase everything on my phone since none are on the computer.

I want to get them to the computer for back up and to rearrange some of the new ones I've added.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your PC dying.

Larry if you connect your iPhone to your computer, go to iTunes...
then > File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.

This should suck the apps out of your phone and into iTunes.

Hope this helps!

Probably best to go ahead and redownload them to your computer. They won't
charge you for them if you use the same account.

Can this be done en masse? it could be rather tedious to d/l dozens (or
hundreds) of apps. And what about the ones that you got at a temporary
free/reduced price?

Before i do any of this let me ask. If I send my apps to the site, will I lose all data the next time I sync.

Also I should have mentioned that before I crashed I did keep my iPhone data on an external HD and they're still there. Can I somehow bring all that over. Music as well I guess. THANKS!!

Just copy the entire iTunes library and drag on the new computer. Either a cross over cable (Ethernet), wifi connect (it will be slower), or a hard drive.

Thanks Andrew Wood

If the new computer is a Windows 7 machine and the old is at least a Windows XP. U can use the Win 7 transfer utility to make the new computer "act" like your old computer, at least as far as your iPhone is concerned.

Re: Sodium and Fluid intake tracker app?

I found a great one. If anyone else needs an app to do this any MUCH more cheaply, look for one called 'Nutrition Menu.'

It's only 99cents and is perfect.

It may be getting launched on new countries but the
not in stock in old places. There is 4 -5 weeks waiting here
in Antwerp, Belgium.

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: More international
iPhone launches coming [Update: More Info] via 9 to 5 Mac by Mark
Gurman on 9/19/10

Today we reported that Apple has officially announced a September 25th
launch date for the iPhone 4 in China. Now, 9to5mac has learned that
Apple has some more international iPhone 4 launches up it its sleeve.
We've heard that the iPhone 4 should be launching in both Israel and
Malaysia next weekend and presumably a few other countries. Exact info
on the Israeli side of things is scarce but we've managed to get some
more precise info out of Malaysia.

The iPhone 4 and the 8 GB iPhone 3GS are said to be launching in
Malaysia this upcoming Thursday, September 23rd on both Maxis and DiGi
as the carriers. That's what we know for now and we'll be sure to
update when we learn more.

Update: We've just gotten some new info… Israel will be getting the
iPhone 4 on September 24th on Orange, The Philippines will get the
iPhone 4 on September 26th for Globe Telecoms, and Turkey will be
getting the iPhone 4 on Turkcell & Vodafone Turkey on September 24th.

Things you can do from here:
- Subscribe to 9 to 5 Mac using Google Reader
- Get started using Google Reader to easily keep up with all your
