How do I do this? I've tried using iTunes, syncing, choosing the file, etc, and nothing works..

Gee, I wish there were better instructions in the "manual"...

I did a little digging for that online recently, and the only options
I was able to find were a $5/month add-on service from AT&T or
variants on assigning a silent custom ringtone.

There's really no such thing as translating. It's all a scam. We
basically just make stuff up and try to make it sound plausible.

Create a folder, put the photos you want to transfer in that folder. Then in iTunes select that folder to sync to your iPhone.
Done.......

I choose *folders* in the photos-tab of iTunes, not individual files.
I made a folder in the My Pictures folder (I'm using WinXP) for pix I want
on my iToys -- so far just the one folder, but now with the iPad as well as
iPhone to go along with the Touch I may make more individual ones.
Anyway, I haven't had any trouble with this & the folder turns up in the
Photos app just fine.

Well, now it's working again, so I don't know what the problem was. Maybe MobileMe had some glitch. Odd, since contacts sync'd. Go figure.

[apple-iphone] iphone camera embeding location in photos

4:31 PM By Livemail

just ran across the following article about how the iphone and other camera phones are giving away your location in the pictures you take.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-20010809-83.html?tag=mncol;mlt_related

quote:

NEW YORK--Be warned: If you take a snapshot with your iPhone or other camera-enabled gadget, it may divulge more information about you than your photographic abilities.

At the Next HOPE hacker conference here on Friday, a security researcher demonstrated how he scanned over 2.5 million photo links posted to Twitter and extracted exact latitude and longitude coordinates embedded in over 65,000 photos -- typically without the user's knowledge.

Does the iPhone have a caller block feature? Where YOU can block someone who calls you?

Some other phones have it and I was wondering if the iPhone does.

Thanks for the info, John. I love the trackpad on my unibody pro, so when I
heard about this, I was really curious how it stacks up. Might have to pick
it up and use with the bluetooth keyboard to see how it fairs in everyday
use.
