Re: [apple-iphone] Mail with no content
Ted, that is voodoo, and doesn't really solve the problem.
The problem has to do with threading. If you turn off threading the No Sender, No Subject, No Content emails will show sender, subject and content.
You can then read, reply to and delete these problem emails to your hearts content. The problem will not go away until the thread dies and everyone learns how to start a new thread properly.
Working between my iPhone and my Mac, using their respective versions of Apple Mail I noted that these problem emails wanted to thread incorrectly on the Mac. When I looked further, it appeared on posts where it looked liked someone had changed the subject line instead of starting a new thread. As I understand it threading is not done my the subject line we see, but uses something we don't normally see in the long headers. I have seen this problem on a Google list and the listmom traced it back to the bad practice of changing subject lines instead of starting a new email or thread.
I assume that in the process of making Mail for the iPhone as streamlined as possible, and they removed the protections for this type of human error. I also know of no way to see long headers in Mail for the iPhone. Or possibly it could be how yahoo handles threading, since I am not seeing this problem on a Google list on my iPhone.

It says they have no subject and no content, but they show up as messages, which when I hit edit I cannot delete. Any ideas on how I can permanently erase these 6 'non emails' please?
