So client and server, as you were using them, have to do with Outlook and an Exchange mail server. I did not know you could set rules for the server. I only made rules for the laptop or client.
I had not heard the term badge in reference to the notification change to the icons.
I will have to see if any of this relates to my MobileMe account with it's recent Mail revision in hopes it will someday relate to the iPhone Mail. Time for some reading homework I guess. I definitely know it is time to clean up the rules and folders on my Mac.
