Re: [apple-iphone] Re: Turn-by-Turn, Voice-Guided GPS iPhone 4 App
And what did you pay for the hardware, or do you use it naked?
I apparently was quoting old pricing. The current pricing today is $100 for the hardware and $60 for US & Canada for TomTom. It has come down some more since you bought it. Maybe I had the hardware and software pricing reversed. That is still $160, down from $229.
I know there is an admission price for early adopters, but there is also a price point that limits sales. I very much wanted to be an early adopter, but they exceeded that price point for me and then the delays before they finally released it totally killed the deal. And why do you have to load an adapter program for an app supposedly written for the iPhone to make the hardware work? Clumsy, roll that in to the other software.
Verses $80 for Navigon NorthAmerica.
