When in the Contacts App, scrolled down in the list somewhere, single-tap the
time at the very top of the iPhone. The list will scroll all the way to the top
where the Spotlight search lives.

This works in similar situations in most Apps.

You *do* know about using the alphabetic list on the right to snap-scroll to
some particular part of the alphabet, right?

Just tap on the status bar at the top (where you see the time, signal strength, battery and other status info) then it'll automatically scroll up to the topmost. You can also scroll faster by using the letters on the right edge.

If you tap the very top of screen it will scroll to top of contacts list allowing you to fill the search query.

AirPrint asks for password

My printer shows up but when I click on it it asks for user ID & password. I don't have any password on my printers. I tried a lot of the ID & passwords that I use for a lot of things but it keeps saying "Wrong Password". What can I do?

It would be the User ID and password of your computer unless you shared with
"everyone" then it becomes unlocked.

Any suggestions for a combination password manager and auto-logon app. I'd
like to be able to quickly find a saved web site and click on it to log in
without having to enter a user id and password each time.

Thanks,

1Password
Particularly if you also have a Mac (the Mac and iDevice versions sync).

Hi folks. It seems my iPhone 4 gets poorer reception at times than my husband's 3GS.....even when we are in the same room. Is it my phone or just how it is sometimes with these phones?
Happy Thanksgiving

I found the same thing with my iPhone 4 starting right after iOS 4.1. I have found if I turn my iPhone completly off for at least :30 to 1:00 and back on (so it can re-register with the network) I have much better performance. Give it a try.

Hi Brent,
Yup, I did turn up the volume...it's barely audible. I would have never
expected this from an Apple product.

Do you think I should update from 4.1 to 4.2? Do you think that would help
or should I have Apple look at it before updating?...Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Lots of Apple Deals Tomorrow

Posted by: "Bill Boulware" bill.boulware@gmail.com   boulware0224

Here is a sneak peak at some of the Apple Deals tomorrow - looks like most
Macs are $101 off - everything else is 7-10%, save $41 on iPads, $21 on
touches, $5-$10 on accessories, no deals on iPhones but the main rumor is
that Apple TVs will be $79 ($20 off) and excellent gifts

BTW, if you are looking for an 8GB iPod Touch (I am), WalMart has it
tomorrow morning for $225 and you get a $50 walmart gift card, so at 175,
that's the best I've seen so far. Of course, it's $199 at Amazon, and it
might be worth $25 to keep my sanity. :)

I have waaaaay too many pictures on my iPhone. They are all on my computer now... so what is the quickest way to delete the images on my phone?

Also... is there a setting that once a picture is imported from my iPhone to my computer it will automatically delete the pictures? I searched around on old posts here and on iTunes but didn't have any luck.

Thanks... and Happy Thanksgiving all!

You would need to referenced your car manual - look for Bluetooth pairing &
set up, it would need to support Handsfree for phone, A2DP for playing
music, and PBAP (Phone Book Access Protocol)
