This is pretty much a front end for Safari on the iPhone. It would be useful
to know if the result is any different.

When this kind of thing happens I reboot the phone. When I had a 3G it took forever and I didn't do it much, but the iPhone 4 reboots so fast--if anything doesn't work like it should, I reboot and the strangeness is usually gone.

Hi Brent and all: we used to have unlimited wi-fi in the park in Phoenix. But they then decided to use coupons that track everyone individually. This didn't work for us for 2 reasons. 1. Only one coupon per RV. That meant hubby could be online, or I could be. Since we are both fully disabled we are often both surfing at the same time. 2. They limited the amount of bandwith to such a minuscule amount it's really useless. So there is no going back on what we had. They did the same thing in the RV park in San Diego. We even begged them to let us pay for our own account. But the RV parks buy a certain amount of bandwidth for the whole park.
I get excellent coverage in Phoenix and in San Diego with ATT. however we don't know where we will be spending next summer.
We had Hughes satellite for a long time. We still own the equipment but hubby is no longer able to get it set up when we move around. They don't allow RV'er to use their systems so we couldn't even call a tech out to help.
Don't get old!!

I called it a fraud letter because when I went to the DHL site it said any letter that came with an attachment was a fraud and not from them. In addition I checked back where I ordered my netbook and there was finally shipping and tracking information, from Fed Ex.
I just wondered if I could have gotten a virus on the iPhone.

On XP, I can see the real address for a link. Can this be done on an iPad?

If you are expecting a DHL delivery, either go to the merchant for a tracking number and/or check directly with DHL if you already have it.
There is supposedly a virus your iPhone can now catch, but you have to click on a link or install an app to get it.
Don't ever click on a link in an email!!! Open your browser, either manually type in the URL, or use one of your personal bookmarks to the company, and then navigate to whatever information you want to check out.
The hackers seen out vague emails with bogus links that look like valid sites. If they sent out 100k emails, chances are that some recipients will have an account and may even have a current transaction going on. It is obvious when it is from a bank not in your region, but if it pretends to be from your bank, the iTunes store, DHL it may be harder to tell if it is a fake.
So.... Don't ever click on a link in an email, not even if it appears to be from a friend! (Your friend could have been hacked.)

Hi all. I have been expecting my much discussed netbook to be delivered any day. I got an email from DHL saying there was something wrong with my shipment and I should open an attachment. I trashed them both, because I thought they were fraudulent.
Then today hubby was really pushing me about where the shipment was. Long story short, I ended up clicking on the attachment. It said open in File Ap Pro and then it went away.
Should I be worried now about any information or a virus on my phone? I should always listen to my gut!!

iPhone Time Changes

My iPhone 3Gs has been having trouble keeping the correct time lately. It shifts back in time seven hours, then shifts back to the correct time. I am in the Pacific time zone, so it doesn't relate to any of the fixes suggested on the Apple tech site. I've done numerous soft resets and some hard resets, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. Before I send it off to Apple for repair, does anyone have any ideas?

I used to have an iPhone. Assuming the rumors are true, I plan on
getting one again this coming Summer. Currently using a BB Storm2 and
an iTouch.

Network tethering?

Has anyone else noticed a constantly spinning wheel under "Network Tethering"?
Reading the support forum at Apple.com seems to suggest this is a problem, and
almost impossible to turn off?
Ideas?
iPhone 4.
Thanks.

Case success story

I just wanted to report that I have an Amzer Luxe gel case ($9.95 on Amazon) that I've really liked since I got it (I get comments on it from time to time). You can see the iPhone 4 profile through it, and the color picks up sunlight nicely.
On Saturday I dropped my phone on a concrete sidewalk (surprised it took this klutz this long). It actually bounced. But it was fine! And it still slides nicely into my shirt pocket. Just goes to show you don't need an expensive case, even if you're a klutz.

Is there a protective case or an addon that can be used with my 3GS to screw
it onto a tripod. Google wasn't my friend and searching this group - didn't
find anyone asking/suggesting a solution.
