My 3GS was replaced last month due to Home Button problem.

Warranty still ends tomorrow though.
But at least I got a new one.

iTunes is confusing to me. Can anyone tell me how I save my phone apps to my computer? Also, how do I update my phone apps through iTunes? Thank you.

When you sync your phone, iTunes automatically copies apps to your computer
(iTunes Library) for backup. If you want to manage / update apps click on
"Apps" under the "Library" section and in the bottom right and corner you
can "Check for Updates" or "Get More Apps" (download new ones). If you
click check for updates and there are updates, iTunes will show you a tiled
panel of the ones available and you can either click Update All or click
Update one by one.

When you plug in your phone look for it on the left. Click on it. You'll see on the right your phone's info and tabs. One of them is app tab. There you can see each screen of your phone (virtual). You can either pick an app from the left and drop it to the one of the virtual screen. You can also check the box of the app on the left. That will put the app on the right but it will be done automatically and iTunes puts in the next available empty slot.

After multiple failed attempts recently owing to their overloaded servers issue, I just downloaded Skyfire to my iPad from the App Store with no problem. When I went to do the same on my 3GS iPhone, it told me that I had already bought it and downloaded it for free.

That's because you didn't read the discription close enough. It is only for Flash Video. It will "convert" Flash to HTML5 and then play the HTML5 on your iPhone.

I was able to download skyfire. Tried it , with little success. It hangs up. At $2.99 a down load they will make out well. Hope they get it working .

was the hangs up ... when the application is actually converting your video for viewing?.

Can anyone provide an example or two of a site/Flash video that will not play on iPhone/iPad natively but which does play using Skyfire?
Thanks,

3G MicroCell

Is there anyone here using AT&Ts 3G MicroCell?
What kind of problems are you having, if any?

I have intermitant coverage at my home and plan to get and install a MicroCell at my home. However in reading reviews on the internet I see there have a lot of problems. The thing is I can't any recent reviews and am not sure what that means, so I am looking for users who have iPhones that can provide info before I take the plunge.
I want BETTER service not WORSE for my $150.00.

Thanks, Bruce

I'm using one, and am having absolutely no problems. My phone works
every time I use it at home now. My son who lives in the basement
and previously had no reception has perfect reception now.

It was down once. I'm not sure what caused it, but we rebooted our
internet router and modem and the microcell and everything went back
to normal.

The key to making it work well is to have it in a window where it gets
a good connection (to whatever it needs to connect to, LOL!). And
you have to have good working internet service too.

Are they still offering the rebate? That was a nice deal.

They work great if you follow the set up properly. I wouldn't pay $150
though, contact AT&T and tell them you can't get service, contact them on
Twitter, etc - try to at least get the $100 off coupon if not the 'free'
coupon. I don't understand why they try and charge so much for these, the
hardware literally costs <$20 to build, you are using YOUR internet
connection and your minutes/data/etc are still being deducted - why should
you/we have to pay $150 per location (up to 4/5 phones) to make it work.

It can be any number of things - just follow the instructions. One of the
most common is plugging it in after everything else on say a slower DSL or
'low end' cable connection where bandwidth is limited and they are streaming
video or downloading other large files from normal or less reputable sites
and allocate/reserve any bandwidth for the Microcell. This is a problem
with Vonage, MagicJack and other VoIP services as well - the recommended way
to set up any of these devices is as the first item connected to the network
and let it reserve what it needs then you get access to the rest of your
bandwidth. Other than that you just have to make sure you download all
software and firmware updates, program in the phone number(s) of each device
that is authorized to use it, basically go through the set up and follow
(READ) the instructions, etc.

My husband and I both have iphone 4. When he is in his email he can slide his finger and the delete button comes up, when I slide my finger on mine the archive button comes up, why? How can I get mine to come up delete instead of archive, I'm sure it's probably simple but I'm not very good at this iphone stuff yet. I will say that I hope I never have to be without one again! Thanks for any help and tips.
