Jim,
Encouraging news from the (almost?) (nearly?) (beyond the?)
"elderly": I'm almost 58, and I can still operate an iPhone! And
single-finger type faster than my 16-year-old on his 3G. And still
teach him technology stuff. And I've had more fun since 40 than I ever
did before then (the next couple of decades look even
better.................now, where was that pesky Viagra ad, anyway?).
NOT. 
All the best,
Dick Johnson
P.S. Serious but fun and useful suggestion: www.realage.com. Started
by Dr. Roizen, Internist and Anesthesi- ologist I know of
professionally, which gives the latest wide-ranging and excellent
advice on diet/lifestyle issues for healthy and vigorous aging.
