Hi Jim,
I've thought about that too...with newer model phones coming out so often.
I have the 3G and when the 3GS came out, I didn't upgrade to it, for two
reasons: one, the 3GS is too expensive and they don't give you a discount or
reduced price when you renew your contract. And two, the new features on
the 3GS weren't important enough for me to need at this time. I think in
the future, if a new iPhone comes out that has alot of new features that I
feel I need, then I would consider getting it. My fiance has had his 3G
ever since it came out a few years back, and he doesn't feel the need to
upgrade to a newer model either, for the same reasons I described.
