I'm with you on this one, Jenny.
I always used a screen protector on my original iPhone and on the 3G. But with the newer screen material I decided not to add anything so I'd just have the treated glass as a touch surface.
I also had some doubts and the hard-as-saphire front and back of the newest phone but I'm thinking that I'll see how it wears.
I *am* using the bumper and I love it.
It gives a grippy edge to the phone in my pocket.
