[apple-iphone] Hulu Plus, first impressions
For those that didn't notice, you can demo Hulu Plus with some free content.
I downloaded Hulu Plus last night and watched 2 free 43 minute shows (with commercials) and my data usage this morning was 163 Mb higher than before. YMMV. Frankly, I am not _currently_ seeing enough content for me to pay $10/mo. I watch a two current shows and an old rerun on Hulu on my Mac, since I have basic cable I don't get USA. But these shows are not available for free in the demo.
The WiFi and the 3G streaming is great, little to know buffering once they start. FYI, I am not seeing the 3G speeds others on this list are seeing, so that makes it all the more impressive. WiFi starts right up and 3G starts after buffers some. I tried Edge streaming, but the action is a little choppy. Enough to notice and enough that I would whine if I were paying for it.
Hey, this is a great first step, and when there is more content, and we see how the data plans settle out. I love these unilateral plan changes, thank gawd for grandfathering.
