I was asking about the 3GS and the 3G resale prices and the reason it is, IMHO, so high.

I know about the original and the 2nd gen iphones and the service plans from AT&T. The hardware, the Apple and 3rd party software was not ready for __me__ until the 3GS. At that point there was no option for me on contract or not. When the product is ready for you, can be totally different from when it is ready for the next person. And that was not the question.

Please excuse my impatient tone, I just want to point out what my question was.
