[apple-iphone] Re: iPhone Insurance

My take from SquareTrade's website is that they will try to repair your phone, or replace with a refurb, or [as a last resort] replace with a new phone.

OK... but if I've got an iP4, does that mean they'll replace with a 3gs or another iP4... it is very unclear.

Has anyone on this illustrious list used them and had a claim? Did they perform up to standards? Let's face it... we have all been spoiled by the quality of Apple products and the performance thereof. If some other company comes in and throws together a broken phone just to get it to work - sure they can call it fixed, but is it really fixed?

Also, what do you do while they're "fixing" your phone? With the microSIM in the iP4, you can't just throw it into another phone and get it to work.

My 2¢
