[apple-iphone] Up Dated my iPhone 3 to OS 4

Just updated my 3g phone to iOS4. Not hitting the panic button yet but sweating bullets. All my notes that I had in "notes" are gone can not find in iTunes. Are they gone forever or am I looking in the wrong place.
