Sue, if you go back and read last weeks posts to this list, and read a few tech-blogs like engadget or gizmodo, you will see that
there only like 2 features you will get, multi-tasking and I think folders, nothing else. People have had problems with the install, and it seems to slow their 3G's down. I have no clue if they are jailbroken or what, Mac or PC.

I'm not trying to spread FUD, but there does seem to be an issue with iOS 4 and the 3g, and there does not seem to be much to offset the risk, at this time. If a later iOS 4 version smooths out the issues, then I would think it would be worthwhile.

I had no problem, but I have a 3GS.

I have been waiting to get some feed back about the new iPhone from this group and wait for the hub hub to slow down to get the new phone. Still thinking about that.

If that does not work, you could go to an Apple store to upgrade the phone, but you would still have to figure out if the computer will sync right after that. Which if you have them upgrade the phone in the store, you will not have your phone sync'd until you get home. If it won't sync, you maybe without your content and data on the phone until you do.
