Apple users make the best lines, that's the conclusion we're beginning
to make as we see yet more queues form for the iPhone 4, this time
outside of AT&T shops which will begin to offer the device today.
Doors have already opened, but as Barron's noted this morning, there's
only a limited number of units available and the line is already round
the block, well, there were about 60 people.
Bear in mind: iPhones have been sold out in many parts of the US and
all other regions, UK, France, Germany and Japan. Apple confirmed 1.7
million sales yesterday.
The impact of various well-reported problems: shattered glass and
reception problems -- may have raised huge consternation but clearly
hasn't stopped Apple selling-out of its first tranche of smartphones.
Meanwhile expectations of a iOS 4.1 software update remain in play,
though as yet the software hasn't come out the gate.
