Re: [apple-iphone] Unlock iPhone
Hi Geoff
I have finally successfully unlocked my Optus 3G iPhone. First I had to check it through Optus. They then sent me a message for me to connect it to iTunes & synch it so the unlocking could go through - I then got a message via iTunes that my iPhone had been successfully unlocked. However when I went overseas & put a different SIM card in my phone it didn't work. When I got home someone advised me that I had to put a different SIM card into my phone (anything but Optus or I presume whatever Telco you have) & synch it with iTunes again - I did this & after a little while it came up with the message that I had sucessfully unlocked my iPhone again. This did the trick - I went overseas again & put in another SIM card (Indonesian - the rates are sooo much cheaper than what we get here) & it was fine. The only hassle is borrowing someone else's SIM card to ensure that your iPhone is completely unlocked - good luck.
