[apple-iphone] Updated OS is a really big problem
It is time to state clearly that that upgrade of my iPhone 3G to v 4 software has made a complete mess of its functioning. Does anyone know if I have any redress over this, from Apple, or from my phone supplier? The phone is tortoise-slow, and it has become increasingly clear that the Calendar makes a complete mess of recurrent events. There are lots of entries it is impossible to delete, although they are duplicated on the same date. This is terrible, and has happened since the upgrade of the software. I have seen the methods to downgrade, but there seems to be no guarantee that they will a. work or b. will not render the iPhone totally unusable. It is at least usable now, as long as I am ready to wait a long time for data to display and am also prepared to interpret a very tangled display on some days in the year (multiple repetitions of the same data!)
Who do I kick/sue/swear at please? I am seriously considering entering a claim on my insurance on the grounds of damage caused by another party as the problem is so bad
