No, they've chosen _their_ standards model instead of anyone else's
standards model. HTML5 does not give you interactive video like a
Flash/Actionscript program does. Unless you know something that I
don't, which is possible, I've only got a passing awareness of HTML5
details.

Which is to say, it multitasks as long as you want to run the iPod app
and any one other thing.

Now here I'm with you. Apple (Mr. Jobs) does NOT jump the gun or make
silly mistakes or stupid moves. He does however like to run a closed
shop, no matter what anyone else thinks. Since Flash is like an app
that runs in the browser I suspect that Flash support isn't there
because multitasking support isn't there.
