Wow, I can think of quite a few. Pandora Radio playing music while you
read, surf, email etc. An IM client like BeeJive or IM+ open so you
can chat and do other things. On the iPhone (and ipad once it gets a
mic) would be to have skype available while doing other things, like
talking on a skype call while surfing or drawing or whatever.

Push notifications are/were nice. I've begun turning a bunch of them
off as I got tired of my iPhone binging at me all the time for stuff
that wasn't all that important.
