You nailed it Alan. "Tap above to start" Why can't it just start?
Then the keyboard pops up waiting for you to type what? an email? web address? a search parameter? I figured it out but it isn't very intuitive as you say. It is also s-l-o-w as you stated.
That's the quickest I ever deleted an app....
