Re: [apple-iphone] never had this happen

Welcome to the world of poor AT&T data coverage. The bars are
misleading on so many levels. Ostensibly they represent cell calling
availability, but in Santa Fe where I consistently show four or five
bars, I get fairly often failed and dropped calls. Data network?
Forget it! Not only is 3G unavailable outside the city of Albuquerque
in NM, but the edge network is virtually unusable. Persistent 'Unable
to reach internet' messages, constant timeouts etc.

AT&T is great in Albuquerque and I drop a call or have a failed call
maybe once a month, but even on 3G here in Albuquerque, my speed tests
are consistent with my Android toting Verizon buddies.

If Verizon starts offering iPhones, I'm switching when my contract
ends this June.
