Not sure if this would work - but gorilla clamp I think has a small tripod for cameras - the legs can be wrapped around objects. I thought I saw one for iphone

So, I'm curious if anyone has seen/created a clamp that would attach to the top of an elliptical machine or treadmill, that would hold the iPhone horizontally? It would be great to watch my phone with my earphones plugged in than trying to keep looking down.

Any suggestions/thoughts would be great!
