I don't know. I'm in the UK where PAYG (or Pay & Go), is a very common
option. There is no way I'd have bought an iPhone without that option.

Surely an American member can chip in here?

How are you paying for the Sony Ericsson? You have/had monthly contracts on
*2* phones?
