I can see why FedEx/UPS doesn't upgrade servers and the such. It is a 1 to 2 day affair, it would be like buying a Ferrari to drive once a year.
Also, iPhone are shipped priority overnight. I do not believe the bumpers are. Thus there delivery date maybe the 30th. If you receive it Monday or Tuesday it just means that FedEx/UPS gave you a better service then Apple/customer actually paid for
