Are you syncing a lot of data/email/calendars/contacts? That is the only
thing I can think of, I know I get a LOT of mail (remember people are in
different time zones so 2am my/your time may be 6, 7, 8, 9am with a lot of
people who are responding to e-mail you sent the evening/night before). I
generally go to bed between 1-2am and wake up at 6am to 40-100 e-mails, but
it would have to be a lot to reach 30MB - the ONLY thing that runs on pre
4.0 while the phone is sleeping that requires a data connection are the
built in apps (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc).
