My understanding of this, though, is that not only is it good for developers -- obviously it gives them an opportunity to make even more money -- but also for us consumers because, first, this will in all likelihood attract even more developers to iPhone development = even more apps for us, with the odds saying that among all those new developer apps there will be some more great ones, and, second, Apple is expecting even more free apps and more lower priced first-class apps because of the enhanced earnings opportunity.

Of course only time will tell, but I wouldn't make a judgement yet by any means.
