When I installed OS4 I used my XP but did the install as a new phone rather than an upgrade. The phone must have burped during the install. Today's restore has fixed the battery drain; I've been surfing, checking email & the battery is to 85% in 2 hours rather than the 40% I was seeing before. I've opened every app (30) & have 45M of ram rather than the 5M I had left after opening 12 apps. 45M isn't a lot but is enough.

Thanks again Bill. I'm not muttering about the phone now. My ATT contract is thru 6-11 & if this phone keeps playing nicely, I'll wait for Gen 5.
