The iPad has *optional* 3G, so you have that if you want access outside wifi
zones (your own network, free wifi, etc.).
The SIM cards are different only because the iPad has the latest, smallest.
variant. I'm guessing that these will appear on lots of phones soon.
But aren't SIMs small enough already?
Err, I said that about SD and miniSD...
