Yup leave it to the nerds like me who fix stuff for a living.
I work for a cell phone recycler / buy back company and I
finally got trained a few months ago on iphone repair. So for me
they are new but I have been testing, fixing, repairing and
refurbing HTC, Palm, Blackberry, windows mobile and other devices
for years. Before that I was a 2-Way teck working on Motorola LMR
commercial and public saftey equipment and the electronic
principle stays the same across all of the devices.
I have learned one valuable lesson, never skimp on the battery.

Patrick, i called apple for this same information on Wednesday,
they told me that it was not available... I laughed at them and
told them that the repair techs would know all of those answers!
LOL Yes, I really do hope that others learned something from it
as
well. I ended up not geting the dual port unit because it was
nearly twice the weight and I did not want to have to carry an
extra 1/2 pound around when I already am carring about 28 pounds
of camera gear already... to me, every ounce at that point makes
a
difference!

Your very welcome.
I hope others got some good use out of it.
I am glad you posted, as I didn't know they had external battery
devices
with dual ports. I know some people who have HTC devices that
have special
adapters for computers that have dual USB plugs to get the full
1000mAh
charging capacity when they are tethered to a computer.

Thank you Patrick, you did pretty well, not only did I
understand
it but it also answered most of my questions! LOL The second
port
on the CP506 is simply for charging a second phone or bluetooth
item... both ports put out the same amount of power. So, I guess
it does not matter which unit I would get then based on what you
have said... now to find a good price! Thank you very much, your
help is greatly appreciated.
