Go to Settings > Reset > Reset Network Settings

iPhone will restart. Tethering option reappears after reboot.

It happens quite often so I do it quite often. I think it's a bug or something. I hope Apple corrects that with their new OS.

Subject: [apple-iphone] New User - Some Questions

I'm a new iPhone user coming from many years of WinMO phones. I purchased
an unlocked 3gs (not jailbroken) from a major internet retailer. Internet
in the house was down so I thought I'd try tethering till it came back up.
I went into settings and turned on Internet Tethering. I got the screen
that explains how to connect via USB & Bluetooth. The screen then
disappeared and nothing happened. I wasn't tethered. So, I went back into
settings to make sure tethering was turned on. The option no longer exists.
Can anyone explain why and how to get it back? I'm on a Vista 32bit laptop,
ATT is my carrier.

I've also been trying to pair the iphone with my laptop via Bluetooth but it
does not see my laptop and my laptop does not see the iphone. Bluetooth is
turned on on both and both are discoverable and paired with headphones but
can't be discovered by each other. I've read through various forums and
tried suggestions found in them but they have not worked.

On WinMo phones, there's an option to not lock the phone if it's connected
to power. Is there anything similar for the iphone?

Thanks,

Jo Anne
