Have all the bought songs disappeared from iTunes as well? How about
backups? Do you have any that include iTunes media?

I am not able to sync at all with MobileMe. It won't sync between my MacBook pro, iPhone and Mobilrme cloud.

I am trying to get apple support to help me fix it.

Strange. I am able to sync between my iPhone 3g, iPhone 4, MBP 17", Mac Mini & iMac i7.

All working brilliantly. Mine are Macs tho.

I have found that when adding a new device sometimes, it pays to FORCE a sync and overwrite the info on the local machine.

Re: Charing iPhone overnight

I had the same problem about a month ago! 92% charge from an overnight charging on my iPhone 4. I thought the plug just came loose from the outlet. I recharged and it went to 100% and has done so ever since. I find that odd.

Unplug the iPhone then reboot it. Trying charging again. It should go to 100%.

One thing to try is to let it drain down to the red and then recharge it.
Try that a couple of times. That might bring it around. Don't leave it on
the charger longer than necessary...over night charges don't hurt it much
but you shouldn't do that all the time because eventually the battery's life
will be shorter.

Google voice

When I call a number using google voice my iPhone dials the same number each time to route the call. So, if I add that number to my at&t a-list would I actually be making these calls for free?

So do I have to have a pre existing Google voice account. To set up Google voice on the iPhone. How do you go about getting one. I heard it was by invite only. Also is it GV Mobile + or GV Connect. GV Mobile + seemed a little confusing.

You have to have a Google Voice account, it is open for everyone in the US
now (no more invites) - simply go to google.com/voice and sign up for a
number - you do need a GMail / Google Account to sign up.

GV Movile + is the better product that has been around for quite some time,
it was in the app store, Apple pulled it due to AT&T request and they
adjusted the 'rules' and let them back in - GV Connect only came out a few
days before GV Mobile + made it back to the legit App store. If you wait
until Saturday, you can get it for free (this is the day designated for
those who bought version before it was pulled or from Cydia so that they
don't have to buy it twice but technically, everyone can download it).

Mophie Juice Pack Air vs. Mili PowerSpring 4 review

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: Mophie Juice Pack Air
vs. Mili PowerSpring 4 review via Engadget by Thomas Ricker on 9/22/10
If you're an iPhone owner then you've certainly heard of the Mophie
Juice Pack. It's emerged as the external battery pack of choice for any
iPhone owner needing more untethered power than Apple can provide from
its non-removable batteries. But what about all those feisty upstarts?
Can they compete in terms of design, functionality, and price? Let's
find out. We put two iPhone 4 external battery pack cases -- the Mophie
Juice Pack Air and Mili PowerSpring 4 -- head to head to see how they
perform. Both promise to double the iPhone 4's 1420mAh li-poly battery
life without adding too much bulk. And surely the 1600mAh capacity Mili
outlasts the 1500mAh Mophie, right? You'd be surprised.

Apple Reverses Another Stance, Allows Ringtone Makers Into The App S

You know, it's starting to look like that set of App Store Review
Guidelines Apple published recently might actually… mean something.
Just 8 days after the guidelines went live, Apple blew all kinds of
minds by allowing Google Voice apps (which had long been banished) into
the store; now, another item seems to have been crossed off the
blacklist: Ringtone Makers.

Since the early days of the App Store, applications that allow users to
make ringtones from songs on their handsets have either inexplicably
sat on hold or were outright denied. And yet, here we are; as of right
now, there are no less than 5 different ringtone making apps sitting in
the App Store.

Mobile Me vs Google

Posted by: "Mike" mpollard@usa.net   mpollardcardguy

Maybe someone can explain this to me. Google Mail is free and you can wirelessly sync your calendar and contacts. It includes Google Docs which is a cloud for storing files that can be accessed from your iPhone or any computer.

That being said I have to wonder what the benefits of paying for Mobile Me are? Besides "Find My Phone" I don't see any other value. Or am I missing something?

Well, Google has answers all that MME offers, accept Find my iphone, iweb
integration and storage.

You can share large files by sending links to who ever you want to share with.
All MME offers are in one place.

Make more sense for someone with mac than windows PC.

I use google apps as an alternative to MobileMe. I blog about my experience with
Google Apps. It works for me, Calendar syncing and Contacts, and the Calendar
syncing even works with two of my calendars. One for work and one for Calendar.
It's cheaper than MobileMe.

Virus?

Posted by: "tmstark538" tmstark538@cox.net   tmstark538

Sometime last week I wrote that I was receiving "SPAM" on my iPhone 4. I have tried everything that one person suggested to no avail. I contacted Cox and they denied that their SPAM filters were at fault. I contacted Norton and tried their suggestions. Nada. The spam continues. This morning in an attempt to delete the e-mails, I found that I couldn't. I would make an attempt and when I got to a certain mail or one beyond that one, I immediately was taken back to the home screen, with nothing deleted! I called Apple support. Spent some time reconfiguring my email. Then the tech said she would talk with others and could I wait. I waited, and waited, and waited. I waited an hour. When I had enough, I called back only to find out they were now closed! Anyhow, I am thinking that there is a virus on my phone. I know Apple prides themselves in being virus free, but is there a possibility? I cannot delete any of the emails. Not even those that are not SPAM!

Hold the home button on the iPhone, while connecting the iPhone to your computer and iTunes.
