How many apps are you syncing?
Have you maybe run out of "screen icon space"?
If so, the apps are there but you have to "search" to bring the names up. I
don't have this problem on my iPod Touch or iPhone since they have folders, but
I do on my iPad. And of course I don't know/remember what it is that I can't
see!
