MediaNet is AT&T crap, that one I thought was discontinued (Guess not.), and two I thought it was not accessible by an iPhone. It used to viewable by means of the web, so yes it uses data.
What app are you using to access it? What iPhone and was OS are you running? Did you buy a used iPhone?
Went to their site and it is still around. Did you stuff a SIM from another AT&T phone into an iPhone? Because that is how other AT&T GSM phones connect to the web. Which I find hard to believe that they did not catch that and force you into an iPhone plan, or just not work.
And no, I don't work for them.
