> I have an iphone 3GS with iOS4. Is there a way to have the incoming mail sorted so the oldest mail is listed first with the latest at the bottom. I like to read the old mail first so I can follow the thread. I can do that on my Mac laptop. The way it is now on my iphone mail, I have to scroll clear to the bottom to read the old first. This is not a new problem. I had the same problem with 3GS OS.

Since you have iOS 4, go to Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendar, and turn ON "Organize by thread.

Other than that - no, I don't think you can get "oldest first".

We all (mostly), want to read older new mail before newer mail; what I do is quickly scroll to the bottom of the new mail, read that message, the (usually, in forum mails) delete it, and the next new mail is presented to me.
