Re: [apple-iphone] Is there a consensus on the antenna issue?

No and that is what is pissing me off. It isn't that there is a problem
with the phone/design/antenna or maybe even a batch of them - it isn't going
to stop me from buying other Apple products, etc. I think it is ridiculous
that people have filed law suits against them, etc but I also think it is
ridiculous that they will not just recognize that the phone has to have some
sort of insulation (I honestly think this is why they developed the bumper)
and I think they should include a bumper of matching color (black on black
or white on white if they ever get those out) in the box. I can guarantee
these bumpers cost less than $1 to make to (parts, labor, etc) and the same
way that they include a power brick, headphones, and USB cable and charge
$29, $29 and $19 (in order) for replacements or spares.

But Apple will not admit it, they have spent a FORTUNE in Customer Service
calls, store appointments and walk ins, bad press, returns, customer
dissatisfaction, lost music/media/app sales, potential sale of other
products, not to mention fighting frivolous law suits just because they will
NOT admit there is a problem and include the stupid bumper. I don't expect
one for free, I ordered mine with the phone and while it would be nice to
get it credited back anyone who ordered one with the one doesn't even have
to get one but I think going forward it would be included with the phone -
that is all they had to do and would have saved millions.

Hell Steve could have announced the phone WITH the bumper on, shown it as a
customizable option (the neon/pastel colors) and it probably wouldn't have
even been noticed except by a select few - for anyone who has the bumper you
know it looks like it BELONGS on the phone, including matching ones and
selling the colored ones for people who want them likely would have avoided
all the issues, saved them millions (when all is said and done) and I could
have saved hours explaining it to clients, friends, family and
forums/groups!
