[apple-iphone] Re: AT&T throttling iPhone upload data? Say it isn't so....
I think they are doing so "because they can," since they are for the most part, the only game in town.
Why improve infrastructure, as that involves costs that will lessen stock value? Grrrr.
It's too funny to look at their data plan as it applies to other phones vs the iphone. Streaming media
seems to be used as a "hook" for some HTC and Motorola models, while they seem to hold the line that
the itunes uses more bandwidth. No one has ever given me a satisfactory answer as to why that is so.
Funnies iPhone answer I've ever gotten was back last year when I asked about tethering. The answer?
"We don't support tethering because it requires OSX" Ummmm, hello? No it doesn't. More funny
than that answer was another sales-dude in the store corrected the first by telling him tethering
works fine on my JailBroken phone. LOL
Oh, and Apple, after looking at my iPhone the other day when I brought it to the local store because
of lack of visual voice mail told me the phone was fine, it was an AT&T system problem. This was after
AT&T trying to troubleshoot the problem (and for once actually appearing to be helpful in tracking it down).
Grrrrrrr So, to check voice mail I have to periodically bring up the keyboard and hold down the "1".
