[apple-iphone] Looking for case recommendation
Let me preface this by saying that I have a wonderful Incipio leather
holster that was actually made for the original iPhone, but that I was able
to use with my 3G with a Griffin Elan case on it. This wonderful holster
doesn't have a belt clip but has *two* convertible straps, so you can have a
short strap that fastens, say, around your purse handles, or a wrist loop,
or an adjustable long shoulder strap. I want to continue using this case,
but obviously because of the antenna issue I need something on my iPhone 4.
Unfortunately the iPhone 4, being a different shape, fits a little more
snugly in the case than my 3G did, so I need a *really* thin case. I got an
iFrogz Luxe Lean and that fit fine, but I was still experiencing an antenna
problem when I held the phone "improperly," so I'm assuming that the metal
of the Luxe Lean didn't break the electrical conductivity between my hand
and the case. The silicone skin I've tried solved the antenna problem, but
made the phone tight enough in the holster that it's annoying getting it
out. I'm considering a Zagg skin, but (a) I'm a little worried about the
"sticky" feeling some people have mentioned, and (b) my local Best Buy only
has the screen protector, not the full body cover and I really have no faith
in installing it myself.
Can anybody recommend a really ultra-thin case/skin for the iPhone that will
still take care of the antenna issue?
Thanks,
Anne
