Re: [apple-iphone] Contacts Google - iPhone
That should be correct - Push/Fetch doesn't really matter unless you are
having someone else update for you just by opening the Contacts (or
Calendar) app as long as you have a data connection (EDGE, 3G, or WiFi) it
forces a sync with Google. As long as you are set up properly and the
contacts from Google were downloaded to your phone originally (meaning it
was set up properly) as soon as you make a change on your phone it is saved
at Google and as soon as you open the App any changes from Google are
downloaded to the phone, I purposefully have Push turned OFF for the Google
account as it is a HUGE battery drain (any Exchange account is, MobileMe &
Yahoo's iPhone Push services are NOT and use less battery than fetching).
That being said, Google was having some MAJOR problems in certain areas
Friday and from what I read may have extended over the weekend so I would
try today and if you are still having problems - try removing the Exchange /
Google account and re-add it.
