If SBI shows their power, we CAs should show our power. Be strict in the NPA norms. Try to put as much NPAs as possible. For eg. In rural branches they can show OTS  time extension till 30.06.2010. ok let them go. But they cannot escape in case of big farmers whose loan was not overdue as on 31.12.2007. They will not fall in the eligible list of farmers. But now their accounts will be NPA as many of them would not have remitted any amount because of the taste of 'waiver' & 'relief'. Don't hesitate to show them NPA esp incase of Minor irrigation Term loans and Tractor loans granted on or after 2007. You can find lakhs and lakhs of rupees in these accounts without even a penny being repaid for 3-4 years.

Don't be afraid of showing NPAs as we can face anything if we unite. SBI's balance sheet should collapse. Show as many MOCs as possible. And let them fight with statutory central auditors for our NPAs. 

Don't show any flexibility for their NPA targets. I am not in SBI panel. But wish I should have been.
