Architect's services,ie, consultancy charges will be liable to service tax.If material ( furniture ) is sold, a separate bill can be raise and VAT charged accordingly. In case of consolidated bill, while charging service tax, benefit ofNot. No 12 / 2003 may be taken.

Facts of the case:-
Mr. A of Bangalore is providing Architect Services in Chennai which is with material, i.e. bill raised by A towards making office includes amount paid towards materials like table & chairs , show items, etc + consultancy charges for the interior of taht office.
Query:-
At what rate should be VAT & Service tax be applied by Mr. A while raising the bill.
