Convert media files

Hello,

I'm looking for a program to convert media files to a smaller, I guess
compressed file size. I recorded some movies with my Hard Drive recorder. It was recorded in the WMV file format. Which is very large...Does anyone know of a program that will compress the video. Also, that is a workable and user friendly editor.

There is a free software: Format Factory. It has a special format for iPhone also. Can change nearly every type of media to any type. Can be downloaded
from:

http://www.formatoz.com/

The RealPlayer Converter can do the job well. And you can use it even with the free version.

Is there a way to display a particular city's temperature on the iPhone 4's outside display along with the date/time?

There are apps that put the temperature on the icon but they are not very
accurate. The temp. seems to lag behind the real temp.

Can you please name one or two of these apps?

Static Electricity and my iPhone

Posted by: "mtmccain@ymail.com" mtmccain@ymail.com   mtmccain@ymail.com

Mon Dec 13, 2010 8:11 am (PST)

I have the iPhone 3G. I had the earbuds in talking on the phone and my coat rub up against my earbud wire. Static electricity popped and my left speaker on the phone has gone out. Even if I hook my phone up to an outside source the left side is not working. I was hoping it would be my earbuds but they are fine. Can this be repaired or am I down to the right side only for speakers.

I guess you blue out the left audio amp on the 3G. I doubt it could be fixed and if it could be fixed it would be expensive. I assume you don't have Apple Care or it has run out. So you only have two choices, live with only one speaker or replace the phone. You should be able to find another 3G for a low price or wait until you are allowed an upgrade.

You could connect to the dock connector using an adapter such as this:

SendStation - Products - PocketDock Line Out USB
<http://sendstation.com/us/products/pocketdock/lineout-usb.html>

but the volume would not be adjustable. I tried it with my iPhone 2G
and a pair of Sennheiser PMX 60 headphones. The volume was too loud
for me, but this would depend on the headphone or earbuds you have.
You might also need an inline volume control on your headphones or ear
buds such as this:

Koss 164210 VC20 In-Line Headphones Volume Controller

This article appeared today:

VoodooPad now available for your iPhone and iPad

Apparently VoodooPad for Mac is regarded as a sort of personal wiki
and there is now a companion iOS app that syncs.

I will take a look at that, thank you.

That's what I use ListPro for.

ListPro does not appear to do that, but then again I don't need it to.

ListPro is fully usable on both the desktop and iOS device.
