I have my HP network printer printing from my iPhone 4 on wifi, but is there a way to print using 3g so when I am away I can print to my home office printer? Even if I have to get a app for that!

If you have an e print hp you could email to the printer as I do with my 3GS. Not sure if there is an app available if you have a regular networked printer.

The iPhone is a computer it is possible you have an app or combination of
apps that conflicted with the OS or the OS itself had "Blue Screened" and
froze - just like any computer can freeze for no apparent reason...

That happened to me too.

I walked into nearest apple store. They took me without appointment and plugged into a mac

iPhone 4 was not detected and i was told I had to make appointment to their full tech review

Appointment was 6 hours later

I went outside. Pressed power And home for about 5 seconds ( maybe a little more). And shazaam.

It came back on

Have no idea what happened

My iPhone4 would do that (go black) when I went from portrait to landscape. But it stopped.

I have boys - 5, 8, and 11. They like Plants vs. Zombies, Uno,
Bejeweled, and Ragdoll Blaster (our current favorite - we have the
free first version and the payed second version). Lego Creationary
has just come out (and it's free), but I haven't tried it out yet. My
rule is that they have to do a set of math flash cards before they can
play a game. I use Flash To Pass Lite where they can practice, + -
x / facts.

The only problem is they want to play with my phone all of the time!
I don't like to give it up ;-).

My wife and I are going up a level to iPads. What is the best Yahoo Group for iPad users?

Sorry for the off subject request but this seemed to be the best place to find out.

Thanks

Have any of you managed to use Phone Disk successfully with a PC?  Both my
husband and I have tried it (I have an Iphone4, he has a 3GS, we both have PCs
with Vista) and as soon as we connect our phones, the Phone Disk program
crashes.

If you already haven't grabbed Phone Disk as reported by Bill a while
back, today is your last chance to activate the software with a free
registration code. Even if you don't think it's something you need
now, grab it anyway before the free registration code expires on Dec
1st. You never know when it might come in handy.

I have no affiliation with Macroplant or Phone Disk. I just think it's
a great program.

Minor Podcast Syncing Annoyance

Posted by: "afarbourn" afarbourn@yahoo.com   afarbourn

Wed Dec 1, 2010 2:58 am (PST)

Perhaps others have solved this issue, but it has me buffaloed.

I have an iPhone 4 that I sync once or twice each day with iTunes on my desktop PC, which runs on Windows XP.

Each time I sync the iPhone with iTunes, it completes the process fine with one exception: One (and only one) podcast that is on my "recently added" list is consistently omitted from the iPhone.

When I immediately sync the phone again, the missing podcast is installed on the iPhone without a problem. So if I want to obtain a full sync with the desktop, I must complete the sync twice.

The date/time of the missing podcast, its size, length or any other detail appears to play no role in which podcast is omitted. However, the missing podcast has been downloaded since my last syncing of the iPhone.

Now admittedly, the world has worse problems than this to contend with, but it is an annoyance. Has someone on this forum has faced this problem and found a solution?

That is something that Yahoo does from time to time. I will even get dupes on my Email client at home. You could contact Yahoo but I dought it will help.

Use iTunes to organize them, then sync. Click on apps under the device (where you click which ones to sync ) and use the right hand column to do it.

I didn't know this trick either!

There are lots of annoying "iPlaces" where I try to tap, and it's right up against something else. Summoning the search bar is one of those. My 100% solution was swiping like a madman until I reached the top of the alphabet and the search bar. I usually use the letters on the right, or more often just use Voice Dial.

Contacts - Grouping Them

Posted by: "Book_of_Hezekiah" book_of_hezekiah_10_26@yahoo.com   book_of_hezekiah_10_26

Wed Dec 1, 2010 2:59 am (PST)

How do I group contacts, as someone in the "Contacts-Finding Them" thread mentioned. I do NOT draw from some unified contact list on my PC.

Once I accidentally allowed a sync that copied all my Yahoo Contacts onto the iPhone. I wound up with scores of people I'd only corresponded with once or twice/years ago, in my phone list (along with many duplicate names with only email, while my manually entered contact record had only the phone number). My intended phone contacts were largely entered manually when I first got the phone, because they are mostly phone/text contacts, not email contacts.

Thanks

Your voice mail had a "default" password when you setup your number/account with AT&T (or which ever carrier you have). if you did not "setup" your voice mail then it still had the default..I'm not sure what that is, for some reason I thought it was, at least at some point, "1111". As Bill sugested it could be "1234". You use the default password to sign on the first time and then change it to your own password.
