My Plantronics stereo earphones finally died. Although I didn't use them everyday, I do miss the wireless feature.
What's the current choice for lower priced bluetooth (iPhone4) compatibles?
TIA,
John

I order a sim card cutter from eBay with for adapters for less the 20.00, looks and worked very much like a stapler. I've added the link below if your interested in seeing one similar to the one I purchased. Happy Holidays

Recently Pollux was suggested here (by Bill B).
I got it and it works very well.
BTW, it is not free, but well worth the price IMO.

Pollux is great, even if you only pay for a year (which I think is $12),
highlight your entire library and let it run for days/hours/weeks (depending
on size of library) and never pay for it again it will be well worth that in
the time you save doing 10 songs yourself...

Car stereo suggestions anyone
Posted by: "Ernest L" e.canteen@yahoo.com e.canteen

Greeting Bill & Group
Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for the best all around car stereo that's compatiable with the iPhone 4. I had an alpine model that allowed me to operate my iPhone 3GS music via a 3 inch touch screen that also served as a navigation system "for an added fee" and bluetooth capabilities with parrot also at an additional cost.
Since that unit been stolen out of my car I wanted other possibilities for replacement before I give another 1000.00 bucks to alpine and the installers .
Thank you and Happy Holidays

I have a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT, which I had installed into a 1996 Mercedes (in place of a radio/cassette player). Had an iPod wired in (which I just leave in the car), satellite radio wired into the aux and a microphone by the sun visor. The BT works great with iPhone 4's voice control for hands free dialing. Great for an old car.

Apple TV, what is it ?

Greetings Bill and Group Members
I have an iPhone 4 as well as an iPad (who doesn't) and wanted to know if anyone had used apple TV with any of these components. I'd also like to know some (if any) of the cool things i could do with an apple tv and my other home equipment which consist of 2 Vizio televisions (55" & 45") and my two 32" inch Vizios usual solely as
monitors for my ZT desktop. Thanks for any info you can share .....
Happy Holidays

Calendars not Syncing
Posted by: "bugsysbuddy" jeff.freedman@comcast.net bugsysbuddy

All of a sudden my Outlook calendar is not syncing with my iPhone either way: calendar to phone or phone to calendar.
iTunes shows the two are syncing. All of the boxes are checked to link the two.
Contacts, Notes and Bookmarks are all syncing correctly. I don't recall changing any of the settings.
Will reinstalling iTunes help?
Any other suggestions on what to look for will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Jeff

Yep, pretty cool and it also adds video call capabilities to the 3GS but I'm still not quite sure how that works without a forward facing camera

Skype Question

I have Skype on my MAC and iPhone 4. I bought some Skype credit to make calls. If I travel to another country (New Zealand) can I make calls within New Zealand and back to the US using Skype?
Thanks,
Ken

Provided you have a data network, yes. You'll probably want to make a
call while on wifi so you don't get charged international roaming.
Also, you can make Skype to Skype calls for free. I.e. From iPhone to
a friend with Skype on a PC or Mac. The only time you need Skype
credits is when you're calling with Skype to a landline or cell phone
number. IIRC, they call it SkypeOut.

Hi Dr. Johnson,
If I could scream via this message any other way except by typing in all caps, I'd do so, but since that's typically not my style, I'll just say this: don't do it.
I had a 3G and upgraded it to the 4 software. It slowed down my phone TREMENDOUSLY. And others that I have spoken with that have upgraded the 3G have had the same problems (no less than 5 people). My coworker has a 3GS that he upgraded without a problem, but for some reason, the 3G doesn't like that upgrade. I hope he hasn't actually done it as of yet.
I just got the 4G about a month ago and am in love.

He gets a message on his MacBook that says he will lose all his media content when he does the update and to be sure to do the update on the computer on which he has all his media that he normally uses to sync the iPhone. I've updated an iPh 3GS and an iPad to iOS 4 before this. The sequence I've seen is that the new OS is downloaded to the computer, and then, if the iPhone is connected, it will automatically update the phone. If not, you can attach and download onto the phone later. Never have I seen this message previously.
