Vishal, The official Google Voice app has not been released yet. What you
are seeing in the app store are other developers.

There are 2 apps for Google Voice in the app store, GV Mobile + and GV
Connect. Both are $2.99. GV Mobile + was free Saturday night for about 6
hours. I am using GV Moble + and it works well. I paid $2.99 the day it was
released. I have no experience with GV Connect.

There always seem to be various sorts of apps on sale or free for limited
times. It can pay to keep an eye out for them &/or subscribe to a newsfeed
 on the subject.

 http://www.engadget.com/2010/ 09/29/apple- tv-review- 2010/

They are all being delivered today, mine is "On Truck for Delivery" so
I will have my own review tonight

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: Apple TV review (2010)
via Engadget by Joshua Topolsky on 9/29/10
You've been waiting, and it's finally here: the Apple TV review. Months
before Steve Jobs announced the new set top box at Apple's annual fall
event, we had been reporting on news that the company would strike out
again into the TV market, offering a small, low-cost box that had more
in common with the iPhone than the iMac. When those rumors came to
fruition, we were presented with the completely revamped Apple TV -- a
tiny black puck of a device priced at a staggering $99, and centered
around a handful of completely new ideas (for the folks in Cupertino at
least) about getting content onto your TV screen. The first is a new
rental system which allows you to nab brand new TV shows at $0.99 a
rental, and HD movies for $4.99 a go (or $3.99 for older titles). And
that includes new releases the same day DVDs hit shelves (or Netflix
distribution centers). Speaking of Netflix, the new Apple TV also
features the rental service's "Watch Instantly" as a wholly integrated
component of its offerings, alongside a new function the company calls
AirPlay which will allow you to "push" video and audio content from
your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with the tap of a button. On top of
that, the new ATV streamlines sharing from your home computers or
laptops, making getting content you own onto your TV dead simple. So,
has Apple finally solved the "second box" problem, or are they still
struggling to turn this hobby into a real business? Follow along after
the break for those answers (and more) in our full review of the Apple
 TV!

4.0 was not as fast on the iPhone 3G as 4.1 is. I currently have 4.1 on my iPhone 3G, it's not any slower or faster than 3.1.3 was. The only reason I upgraded was so that I could make folders for apps. There really aren't many features that 4.1 brings to the iPhone 3G. Unless you want to be able to make folders, like me, I would just stick with 3.1.3

 Hope this helps =-)

- Sodium and Fluid intake tracker app?Posted by: "larrycarta" larrycarta@yahoo.com larrycartaWed Sep 29, 2010 10:57 am (PDT)
 Hello All,

I've taken control of monitoring Sodium intake and over fluid level intake for a loved one.

I'm looking for a good ap to help do this. I see tons of apps for sugar and calorie intake but not for sodium and fluids.

If any one has suggestions I'd appreciate it.

 Thanks,
 Larry

Thanks, that is along the same lines.
I realize I didn't really give enough details.

I had synced previously without issue.
Then when I noticed the sync apps box was not checked, I checked it, and it warned me that it would overwrite the apps on the iphone, which seemed odd. Also, the view (in iTunes) of the apps as they are on the iphone changed to some random arrangement without any of the folders I have and with different apps selected.
This is very similar to one of the posts I saw on the apple discussions page.
I did not perform the sync with the apps.

On my iPad since all the pages are full, they appear when I use a spotlight search and are clickable from the search list and can be run.

addition to the question below: xmarks add on for Firefox is shutting down on
Jan 2011. I am looking for an alternative and one that can back up previous sync
files in case you need to restore them from the server.

I am in same position, MobileMe is great but doesn't work with Firefox or
Chrome at all, Firefox Sync works fine on Firefox for 'backing up' between
browsers but has no controls like XMarks, Chrome Sync works fine on Chrome
but not with any other browsers... I don't know why XMarks didn't just
institute a 'pay' option to break even, I would gladly pay at least $5 per
month for XMarks if not more...

Ok, another reason for MobileMe - use XMarks on MobileMe as your own
server! If someone wants me to write details let me know, but it is awesome
 - I have it running and I no longer have to give up XMarks!!!!

Ok, another reason for MobileMe - use XMarks on MobileMe as your own
server! If someone wants me to write details let me know, but it is awesome
 - I have it running and I no longer have to give up XMarks!!!!

I am going to have to write a post since screen shots might be necessary but
basically log into MobileMe, go to the iDisk section create a folder names
'xmarks' then go to Xmarks > Xmarks Settings > Advanced and check "User your
 own server"

 The Bookmarks URL should be:
 http://idisk.me.com/MOBILEMEU SERNAME/xmarks/ bookmarks. json

 Password URL
 http://idisk.me.com/MOBILEMEU SERNAME/xmarks/ passwords. json

 Username
 MOBILEMEUSERNAME

 Password
 MOBILEMEPASSWORD

 Check Rememebr Password
Click Ok to close both windows, and click synchronize, you will be prompted
again for your MobileMe password and then it will sync - repeat on each copy
of Xmarks and each machine - you have to have the latest version of xmarks
installed so make sure they are all updated.

- Apple TV teardown reveals 8GB flash storage, 256MB RAM, leftover iPaPosted by: "Bill Boulware" bill.boulware@gmail.com boulware0224Wed Sep 29, 2010 1:01 pm (PDT)

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: Apple TV teardown
reveals 8GB flash storage, 256MB RAM, leftover iPad parts via Engadget
 by Ross Miller on 9/29/10
"Of course the new Apple TV gets a teardown, silly," is what we would
tell you should you have the audacity to question its inevitability.
But alas, we're too busy analyzing every photo of iFixit's gallery to
even dignify your raised eyebrow with an unprovoked response. Here's
the big takeaways we're seeing so far: 8GB of storage provided care of
a Samsung K9LCG08U1M NAND Flash chip, and the same one found in the
iPad. Speaking of which, there's also the exact same markings on its
Apple A4 processor as the iPad and iPhone 4, K4X2G643GE (not the same
as the latest iPod touch, as it turns out), the exact same Broadcom
BCM4329XKUBG 802.11n WiFi / Bluetooth / FM chip as the iPad, and at
256MB, the same amount of RAM. Also interesting and of note are the
solder pads near the side of the logic board, which look to be a
perfect fit for an Apple dock connector. At any rate, with all that's
under the hood, we expect the jailbreak community to have an absolute
 field day.
