If they have Macs, they can drag the application from one Itunes
account to another by enabling Home Sharing which allows both
computers to see the other's ITunes accounts and share music and
applications. However, I don't know if this works on the PC side.

The contacts etc can be exported using a vcard from Address Book and
then e-mailed to the other person.
