Not sure about the first request needed, but the cross platform Docs to Go
has a great iphone app that will do what you want.

I'm sure these subjects have been discussed before but search didn't
produce any recommendations. Hope someone with more experience with the iPhone
can provide some suggestions. Any recommendations well be very much
appreciated.
