Re: [apple-iphone] The big switch
One thing at a time - you can't switch your iPhone over - you have to copy
your iTunes Library (music, apps, books, movies, etc) - assuming both
computers are on the same network (wired or wireless) you need to make sure
File and Print sharing is enabled on the PC or you have to copy things from
PC to an external drive and then from external drive to Mac - much easier to
just browse the network though.
It would help to know what OS PC is on (Wndows XP Home or Pro, Vista Home or
Pro, Win7 Home or Pro) but generally the iTunes library is in "C:\Documents
and Settings\{USERNAME}
c:\Users\{USERNAME}
drive, just copy the entire folder then on Mac in iTunes click File > Add to
Library - browse to the folder and it will import everything - if you are
doing across network do the same thing just browse ot the main iTunes folder
and add everything. You can then plug iPhone into the Mac and select what
you want to sync and it will erase the PC settings / sync and resync
everything.
As far as moving documents/data/
network or use an external drive and copy everything you want from PC to the
Mac User folder in the appropriate directory (Documents, Music, etc).
